Lithology and Thickness
Dolomitic limestone. In approximate Upper to Lower (descending) order: KrolE dominant banded grey and pale cream white calcilutite to dololutite / KrolD Fm comprises an alternation of dolomitic limestone, microbial cherty limestone and dolostone shale with shale in excess of limestone. / KrolC Fm represented by dolostone, cherty limestone and shale. / KrolB Fm characterised by thinner laminated purple to red shales with blotches and intercalations of green shale. / KrolA Fm comprises chiefly a rapid alternation of greenish grey calcareous shale and argillaceous limestone with variable gradation.
